Mobile Beauty Treatments was conceived as an idea in 2003 by Miriam Wood, a new mum who desperately wanted a facial and eyebrow wax but couldn’t get out of the house.

Miriam completed her training as a makeup artist and beauty service professional at the Artistry of Makeup Academy in Hurstville, Sydney.

She spent the first year out of college working for and alongside mobile therapists and offering the service to her friends and family in order to understand the special nature of the mobile beauty business.

As well as coordinating the day to day running of Mobile Beauty Treatments, Miriam teaches beauty services at the Artistry of Makeup Academy, Merrylands.

The business has expanded and today provides a comprehensive range of bridal, beauty and day spa services to anyone who is house or hospital-bound, has a busy schedule or simply those who would prefer to remain at a location of their choice.
