We offer the following local dive sites:
Avoca Island
Depth: 15.1 metres
Shallow site close to the mainland. A good reef dive with a series of canyons and overhangs. The reef runs along the sand and this small drop off makes an ideal location for small invertebrate life. Lots of nudibranchs in this area with confirmed sightings of the Miaimira Magnifica around November. Keep an eye out for Wobblegons around the area.
Pinnacle
Depth: 26 metres
Steep rugged rocky terrain with excellent small invertebrate life. Look up occasionally and you may see schooling Kingfish swimming obvious to the divers. Lots of nudibranchs here and the Blue Dragon nudibranch (Serpent Pteraeolidia ) seems to favour this terrain.
Valiant
Depth: 26 metres
This tug lies offshore from Palm Beach in the mouth of the Hawkesbury River . It was sunk in 1981. It lies offshore on her port side and has the usual growth and fish life . Visibility is best on a high tide as it is affected by tidal flows from the river. An easy dive with the engine room being easily accessed.
